The body in Pain

"Because the person in pain is ordinarily so bereft of the resources of speech"

"To have great pain is to have certainty"(Elaine Scarry)

In the article of the The Body in Pain one of her arguments is that pain is when body language can tell of how much a pain the person is feeling, if the words can explain the pain. Also, how in different languages that its not necessary English that they will still have the pain in their own language. Also, she gave an example of people use the word "Ah" to describe their pain, that you can also understand how much pain the person is feeling by how many exclamation marks the person adds to the word "Ah".

In addition  to the words and body language describing the pain, a person can not say or described how the person is feeling because that person its not in pain. So the person in pain could describe it. Pain can be tell in different forms like when you are writing an informal or formal letter. By how well you write the letter the reader would be able to sense your pain.
